JASON Bowen is battling to be fit in time for Cardiff City's Worthington Cup tie against Boston United on Wednesday September 11.
Bowen's start to the 2002-2003 season has been disrupted by an ankle injury and he broke down on his comeback for the reserves against Bournemouth a Ninian Park. But he is making good progress and manager Lennie Lawrence said: ``We are hoping Jason might just be ready for the match at Boston.
``He won't be ready for the reserves when they go to Crystal Palace on Tuesday, but he is making progress.''
